GBK was developed by three New Zealanders living in London who missed the way food tasted in New Zealand. The celebrated New Zealand chef Peter Gordon designed the menus for GBK, Air New Zealand and his own restaurant Providores in London. The New Zealand heritage is in evidence in the shape of the 'kiwiburger', a burger which contains the ingredients beetroot, pineapple and a fried egg.
